Every year for the past 4 years we have gone to Disneyland during Thanksgiving week while we are down visiting family in the area. This however was my first time going pregnant and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We only go for one day so we try to make the most of it and get there as soon as they open and stay until dinner. That’s a whole lot of walking around (and standing in line since it’s a peak week) and we usually leave utterly exhausted and zombie-faced at the end. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up this year but it was a surprisingly very relaxing day. Because Zachary is older they ended up going on higher thrill rides this year that I couldn’t go on. I only went on two rides but I didn’t even notice until someone asked later. I got to shop, people watch, rest, and just soak up the magic of one of my favorite places in the world.
Here are a few pictures from our day including a bunch of me standing awkwardly in front of pretty things.
Teacups are just so cute it’s hard to resist, but they are not such a great idea when you’re pregnant and prone to nausea!
So, so many people!
The holiday parade is always a highlight.
We love the Mickey’s Magical Map show!
The Parade of Lights parade was absolutely amazing! I’m so glad I made us stick around to watch it even though we had one foot out the door.
I can’t wait until next year when we get to take our little princess with us!
